Outside porchInside the Gatehouse you will find the rustic charm of a country farm.  Built originally as a log cabin and added to over time, generations of farmers have called this house home.

Enter through the side door of the house at the end of a tree-covered drive, a screened-in porch overlooks the 12-acre meadow.  Breezy and spacious, it is a wonderful outdoor living room for the house and great for summer breakfasts and good conversation.  A breakfast nook between the porch and the main house provides a warm entranceway to the rest of the house.  From there, pass through the full kitchen and adjacent dining room to a spacious living room with gas-fireplace.  Adjacent to the living room on the creek side of the house is another screened porch. Behind the living room is the master bedroom with adjoining full bath.  Next to the fireplace is the staircase to the second floor, with its two bedrooms and second floor full bath.  Below are some photos of the house.  Enjoy your visit.

"The setting here is lovely.  The fall leaves changing colors are absolutely beautiful.  We enjoyed skipping rocks along the creek.  It was neat to imagine all of the history this house must contain.  A perfect weekend getaway."

"We enjoyed a truly fun and relaxing weekend at your house. We loved the natural setting and had a great time finding frogs, toads, butterflies, lots of rocks and wild flowers. The girls think the beds were very comfy and the attic and basement were deliciously scary!"

"Nice! Out in the woods was great. Kids had a blast riding their four wheelers and roasting hot dogs on the BBQ fire pit. Fireworks were amazing without all the city lights. We enjoyed our stay!"
